my school is offering a principal's advisory panel this year, and i'm not sure if i should join it or not. is it the kind of thing colleges look for?
If it's something you're interested in, go for it! I wouldn't recommend doing it solely for college (especially if you end up hating it), but it could be a good opportunity to explore a leadership role and make your voice heard :)
If this panel is a very prestigious opportunity that you have to be voted in or hand-picked and they do things that show evidence of measurable social impact, I would do it. How is this different from say Student Council or ASB then? What differentiates this panel from the elected leadership positions typical in HS?
