I've been thinking about starting a club ever since my sophomore year but Covid happened. I'm now in my senior year and I want to start a Drone Club. Is it too late to start a club in your senior year? Does it make it look like I'm trying to game the system?
Hey! This depends on why you're starting the club. If you're doing it for college, it's probably too late for the club to make much of a difference on your college apps. This is because you probably can't do much by the time you apply and most schools have already had their Club Days (so it's hard to recruit a lot of people outside your friend group). However, if it's for fun, go for it! Still, I don't think you should dedicate your time to starting a club. Improving your ECs or volunteer hours seems much more useful. Good luck!

You might as well try to add it to your resume, depending on when you apply. If you want to apply before the club's founding is complete, then it's too late I guess. But it's impressive to colleges to know that you are a founder/leader.
