I think I didn't word the question correctly in the summary, but I don't know how to simplify it into 120 characters.
I'm applying to USF before the early decision deadline, which is November 1st. I currently have 1 ACT score, and it isn't bad, but I was hoping to retake the ACT in December and get a better score. If I send my current score, can I also send the newer one? Sorry if this is common knowledge lol I don't know a lot about the application process.
In your case, if you apply before Nov 1, your admissions decision will be out early or mid-December. If you're going to retake the ACT in December, then you'll have your decision even before you get your 2nd attempt ACT score. If you're accepted, then there's no issue. If you're deferred, then you might be allowed to update your score through the applicant portal i.e., if USF allows that. If you're rejected, then there's not much you can do.
Hope this helps!
Okay, so some colleges usually accept late test scores 2 or 3 weeks after the deadline. It usually varies from college to college depending on where you're applying to and how you're applying. Personally, I would send my current ACT score rather than a later one as colleges of course have a deadline to meet and it would be late. Some schools may be more flexible, but it really depends on where you are going. Overall, It would be late by then and the college could've made their decision- So don't really think you would be able to.
Here are two articles that I highly recommend that should help with your question as well:
