My highest SAT score is a 1410 (760 Math and 650 ERW).
I'm majoring in Computer Science and Data Science for some.
Here are my college list:
NYU
UIUC
Texas A&M
UMich
Binghamton
North Carolina State
UNC Chapel-Hill (already submitted)
THE Ohio State
Carnegie Mellon
Purdue
BostonU
Northeastern
RIT
Stevens Institute of Technology
Georgia Tech
RPI
WPI
UMass Amherst
Rutgers
University of Kentucky
University of Maryland
I would not submit 1410 to UIUC, NYU, CMU, BU, and NorthEastern for a CS major.
I'm on the fence about GeorgiaTech and UMich as well since CS major is a very popular major and typically admits 1450+ test scores. It's a toss-up at public universities, they have been known to reject CS major applicants with 1550-1600 as well.
Good luck.
To know where your score stands in comparison to previously accepted applicants, google "COLLEGE NAME" common data set. Go to CDS-C and look for 25th and 75th percentile SAT and ACT scores. You can also find the average GPA of accepted applicants in there.
First, check whether scores are required or not. Next, note whether the school lists standardized tests as considered/important/very important. Test scores are more favorable if above the 75th percentile of admitted applicants, but decide after taking into account all the above factors.
Hope this helps!
Well, some of the schools listed require the SAT like GT. Other than that I don't think you should submit your score to Carnegie Mellon as 1410 is below its 25th SAT percentile. But other than that I think you're fine. You can check the SAT percentiles of the colleges you are applying to and see where you place them, then you can decide whether or not you want to submit them. Somebody can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

For the 5 schools you listed above, should I not submit the scores also for a Data Science or Information Science major?
