Admissions Advice

Does anyone know of any good online summer courses that I could take this summer and get a certificate of completion?
Answered

I’m about to go into my junior year of high school and I have quite a lot of free time in my hands due to covid-19. I’d love to spend some time focusing on my studies by taking some online courses that offer recognition of completion. I’m interested in anything related to business, business management, economics and sports management. If you know of any good online courses please share!

One good place to start is eDx.org which is a portal of hundreds of courses you can take with top Int'l Universities like MIT, Harvard etc in all subjects. Some are short courses with certificate options (you pay $49-$199 for those) to AP Courses to some core College level clusters which could be a tranche of 4-6 classes. I'm taking AP Physics through Davidson College called the DavidsonNext program. These are all self-paced online courses with videos, group chat features, quizzes, and tests. If you opt for the certificate you will get the tests graded and a final grade. Good luck.

I’d start by looking into any local community colleges; often they will offer dual enrolment courses at high schools nearby, and they tend to offer summer courses for high schoolers as well. I’ve also seen lots of ads for colleges offering free or very discounted summer courses because of COVID, so I’d suggest googling that and seeing which ones you can find. Good luck to you!
