When will College Vine update their acceptance rates?
Answered

When will College Vine update their acceptance rates to the acceptance rates for the class of 2026? I'm pretty sure that the current acceptance rates they have listed are mostly from the class 2024. I don't know how much weight to put on the chancing calculator when it's using outdated data.

Hi @person,

Excellent question.

I brought this up months ago and other CV members like @cameronbameron brought this up over a year ago.

The GOOD NEWS is someone at Collegevine is paying attention to my request because I can see that Columbia for example is now 4% instead of 6 or 7% and Harvard is 4% which is still wrong because it should be rounded down to 3% (3.19%) is not 4%.

But a lot of the 650 schools in the CV chancing engine database are still wrong and hopefully, by the end of the year, they will correct this.

Why is Northeastern 18% on CV when it's 6.8% everywhere else?

Why is Colgate 17% on CV and 12% in reality?

Be patient, they will eventually update the acceptance rates within 1%-2% of the correct rate.
