Can I add Edx and Coursera courses as extracurricular in my college application?

Do colleges consider edx.org courses and coursera.org courses as an extracurricular activity and if they do will it be a good idea to include them in my college application?

Honestly, it really depends on the college to accept edx and coursera courses as extracurricular activities but you should absolutely add them in your application as it shows colleges that you highly willing to learn in your free time and like to explore different subjects while also studying them in depth. In short, your application will become stronger if you add these courses in them and adding those courses in the application also shows that you can handle the rigor of college studies.

Hi @dionysus!

Yes, you can. It will be a good idea to add them to your application. Just make sure you have your priorities set right because you can only fit a limited number of activities in your application.

Hope this helps!
