Can you change your Common App essay for certain colleges?

Hello, I've already applied to several colleges via Common App, some which required an essay. I still have several schools to apply to, and I'm more interested in the other prompts I didn't choose. That said, I plan on writing a different essay for the colleges I still need to apply to. Is it possible to submit different essay prompts to different colleges? Would it affect the Common App system in any way?

Hi @Srfp_23!

From Common App:

A student is permitted to edit their Common App for other colleges to which they have not yet submitted. However, please know that once submitted to your college, any changes they then make later to their Common App will not reflect in your records.
