how to get research published

junior planning to major in linguistics here! this coming semester, i am taking an online elective in which students pick a specific topic to study and conduct research, culminating in a final research paper. i'm planning to do mine on linguistic gender bias present in different languages and cultures, and really want to try and get the finished product published-however, the course doesn't offer guidance on how to go about this so i would have to pursue this independently. what steps should i take at this point to start working towards my goal and getting my research published somewhere?

Here are some ways that you can publish your research:

1. Present your research at a public event, such as a research conference. If no applicable events are going on in your community, you can start a research colloquium at your school.

2. Convert your research to a book format and self-publish it on Amazon

3. Email the editors of scientific journals about publishing your research - though keep in mind that many journals do not publish research done at the high school level. Journals that are tied to your state school or local area will be the most likely to accept your proposal.

Hope this helps!
