Activities to help you increase your chance into getting into college
Answered

Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone could recommend some extra - circular - activities that they used to get into college, or some that they plan on using to get into college. All recommendations are helpful!

Hi @TimesTrust!

Admissions officers know it when you're part of an activity just to get into college because your level of involvement reflects your attitude, so it's pointless to try to do a bit of everything thinking that it will impress admissions officers.

Extracurricular activities aren't meant to be tools used for getting into college. What activities you are involved in depends on your interests. There isn't any particular activity that can ensure your acceptance into a certain college. You should try the different activities available to you and then stick to the ones that you enjoy the most. Some examples of extracurriculars are: any sport, volunteering, public speaking, art forms (art, music, dance), school clubs, student government, ... the list is endless. Since you're still a freshman, it'll take you some time to figure out your interests, so don't worry about it too much.

Hope this helps!
