Best summer programs?
Answered

Does anyone have a list of summer programs that would be considered tier 1 or high tear 2? I've seen a basic outline of them on the tier pyramids, but I wanted to be sure that I've looked into as many as I can. This includes internship opportunities and things of that nature as well. I am a sophomore currently so I know that excludes me fro many options for now but I would still like to know about ones I can do in the future.

Thank you!!!!!!

Hey there @Gingerw!

Check out HOBY. It's not an internship, but it's a good leadership program for high school students. As @TimesTrust said, actual internships vary by where you live. If you know of any smaller organizations in your area that interest you, you could reach out and see if they'd like a summer intern. Another way to achieve this is through volunteering at a summer camp. Last summer I volunteered at a theatre camp where I was taught more about the stage, directing, creating scenery and props, and costume design, as well as working with children. Many colleges offer programs for high school students over the summer, so it depends on what you're interested in pursuing.

Good luck!

This CollegeVine blog post lists some summer programs that are Tier 1 or 2. Hope this helps!

It depends on where you live. Every area has different programs, and the closer you live to the program the bigger of a discount you get. The two summer programs that I am taking are, the UCLA Mock Trial, and the UCLA United Nations Mock. They are both on campus btw!
