How many AP courses would be a good number to take to get into a target level school such as penny state and Wisconsin Madison who have close to 50 percent acceptance rate. I currently have 5 and will take 2 next year

7 APs are good for both Penn State and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Your chances of getting in aren't necessarily equal to the overall acceptance rate. If you use the chancing simulator, you'll see what I'm talking about.

@Anonymous123 yeah I saw I’m 85 percent chance to get into penn state but I wasn’t sure about course rigor because every college I go to it stage avwrage and I don’t think I’m average for all of them

For some reason, the chancing simulator shows that any number of up to 18 AP classes is about average for Penn State. To be above average, I had to take it to 19 AP classes, which only increased my chances by just 1%.

@Anonymous123 thats funny, yeah I think I might end up just taking 7 but I also have a 4..4 gpa and I also do some EC's. ALso have 14 honors by the end of senior year so do you think that is good.
