Can I take AP tests without taken the exam but do the test at Answered
Hi. My kids school offers AP classes but my sone wants to do self study for APs and take the test. He wants to take the test at another test center different from his school. Can he do that ?

Yes, this is very much possible. Taking the course in a classroom is not mandatory since CollegeBoard wants to make sure that everyone who wants to take the test can take it. You do need to make sure that you are registered for the exams in May though.
