How will Principal's / Superintendent's Advisory Councils affect admissions?
Answered

Hello all!

I realized that I had a question about one of my "extracurriculars". By the end of my senior year, I will have been on my Principal's Advisory Committee for three years and the Superintendent's Advisory Council for two. I am applying for the state SAC and my district's student advisor to the board of education this year, wish me luck! Anyway, I wanted to know your opinions on how much weight these positions will have on my admission profile (I'm assuming not a lot). Regardless, if you think differently, let me know! I do not have a lot to go off of since I rarely hear about these types of councils from other schools. In the end, let me know what you think and have a lovely day!! :) <3

These positions will have a decent amount of weight on your profile, since they are unique, involve local/state-level leadership, and make a real-world impact. I would rank your Principal's Advisory Committee role as Tier 3 and the other roles as Tier 2. Best of luck with getting the state SAC and Board of Education positions!
