Writing an AP Bio Rec Email?
Answered

Hi everyone,

Next year I plan on taking AP Bio and after talking to my counselor she said I should recommend myself for it since I haven't taken chemistry. This means that I need to email the head teacher of the science department telling her my goals for AP Bio, why I would be a good fit, and just an overall recommendation for it. I've written the email and it seems a little sparse. These were my main points.

- my current bio teacher is also the AP bio teacher and he the way he teaches is very effective for me

- I want to learn about biology in a deeper level

- I want to take more rigorous classes

Do you all have any advice on hat else should I write in the email and how can I come off as a strong candidate to pass the prerequisites?

Hey!! You could mention any extracurricular activities or interests related to biology, as well as any previous academic achievements that demonstrate your readiness for the class. It's also important to express your enthusiasm for the subject and your commitment to working hard in the class.

Overall, remember to keep your tone friendly and positive, and don't hesitate to ask any questions or seek guidance from your counselor or other teachers. Good luck and hope I helped!!
