It's either the mental illness or school because I feel like as if I'm taking an entire south direction in terms of admission to the main school I'm trying to aim for (UC Berkeley) I'm still a sophomore, but I don't have much of my excusable youth from freshman year. Currently I'm only in student leadership however I wish to start being more involved into clubs, maybe start a club about my interests (Stuffed animals) and try to restart the Future Medical Professionals Club since it's now gone. I also plan to be involved in things such as my school's Key Club and my NHS and really pray to get a leadership role. 135/535 rank, 3.75 cumulative W, and I plan to do full IB next year. Am I doing things right? I have no one to ask since nobody in my family went to high school (Rural China moment)
Hey, it's ok to feel that something's off sometimes. But you're not doing anything wrong because the fact that you know that you want to do something is what counts. You have a college you want to work towards and know roughly what you want to do in terms of extracurriculars. Starting a club is a great idea because it shows that you want to expand on your interests(and you'd get a leadership role since you started it). Just keep your GPA up, get good grades in your classes, and play an active role in your clubs.
On that note, if you want to go into healthcare, you could start a HOSA club at your school. It's an international organization(with competitions) for students who want to go into some type of healthcare career.
Here's a link for their website :https://hosa.org/
UN Berkeley is a selective college, so be sure that your GPA, courses and extracurriculars align with what they expect from an applicant.
