Mid March Status: I have been denied to four schools, waitlisted for two after being deferred (EA)?
Answered

Grades are al A's at the moment. Last year they were A's and B plus. I believe applying as a science (animal science/biology) and EA has hurt me. I did not apply test optional and met the threshold in that area. My sport took up most of my time the past four years.

Applied to Auburn, NC State, Clemson, South Carolina, UNC, UF, Baylor, LSU. It's really discouraging at this moment. I began to apply as undecided for the last two or three schools submitted yesterday after more disappointing news.

What gives?

What is the strategy here?

I know kids who got in with no SAT and lower GPA?

Getting deferred from your top choice school can be disappointing, but don’t despair! There are a number of steps that students can take after a deferral to improve their admission chances in the regular round. https://subwayliveiq.info/

Hey!

College admissions are extremely tricky and nobody quite understands it as much as college admission officers do. There could be several reasons: your essays might not have been what they wanted to see, they might’ve thought you’d get into better schools, they think you didn’t reallt want to go there, etc. There are so many reasons and a lot of them are extremely random. Keep your head up and keep working on your grades and everything will all work out. Good luck! Hope this helps!
