What Would Colleges Prefer? High GPA but now AP/Dual Credit Classes or Ok GPA with AP/Dual Credit Classes
Answered

I'm currently stressed since I applied to colleges with a 3.705 gpa (when it was supposed to be 3.86 since my school messed up my gpa, long story short but I already contacted all the colleges). I have one ap and 7 dual credit classes after my senior year. I was just curious what would colleges prefer. A applicant with a high gpa (say like 4.0) with no ap/dual credit classes. Or a person like me, ok gpa with an ap and 7 dual enrollment classes? Than you have a good day.

Colleges are looking for success in the most rigorous courses available to you, so a higher GPA with a weaker course load isn't necessarily preferred. Taking (and doing well) a challenging course load displays your ambition and suggests you're ready for college level coursework!
