Are associate's degrees worth it?
Answered

I'm a highschooler. I'm painfully aware of how expensive college is so I was considering going to community college to get an associate's degree and stopping there. Are associate's degrees worth it or am I better off just getting my diploma and going straight to the workforce?

(For context, I was planning on majoring in Early Childhood Education or Visual Communications)

Associate's degrees are definitely worth it for the fields that you are interested in. If anything, Associate's degrees are underrated by many people.

Since community college is a flexible, part-time commitment and it's not too expensive, you could join the workforce while you study and graduate with an experience-filled resume. Once you have your degree, it will be easier for you to improve your job prospects or advance at a company you have already worked at.

Hope this helps!
