Narrowing down college list

So I have some safety and Target schools finalized. I have on reach the school finalized on my list. I listed some possibilities for reach school but I am having a hard time narrowing it down. How should I narrow it down and what are various factors I should consider when deciding what college to apply too?

Hi @Swayam_Jain17!

Common App allows a maximum of 20 colleges, but people still manage to go beyond that using other applications. It isn't a bad idea to have 4-5 reaches, but applying to every single T20 might be overdoing stuff.

As far as the factors are concerned, cost, location, and social life are very important. There are good business schools all over the country. The Haas School of Business (UCB), Ross School of Business (UMich), Stern School of Business (NYU), and McCombs School of Business (UT Austin) have excellent programs. UCB, UMich, and UT Austin will be expensive OOS. UT isn't as expensive as the other two, but it's still expensive. This isn't an all-encompassing summary, so you should explore your EFC and estimated cost of attendance yourself before making any decisions.

The all-time favorite for business aspirants has always been the Wharton School of Business (UPenn), in case you don't have that on your list (which is unlikely).

Hope this helps!
