i tranferred schools in the middle of the year and got put into a wrong math course rlly late like 3 weeks before the finals. i have a D in that class for my first semester since I was basically unable to transfer classes but in second semester I took up a higher level online math course and have an A grade in that. As a California student, is it possible for me to somehow remove the D from my transcript or have it NOT factor into my gpa? i mean like how many math courses are you allowed to take in a year? the course I'm doing rn is full year and the one i had in school, i dropped.
You can't remove a grade from your transcript as that is academic history and it will count towards your GPA regardless. The only time you can change a grade on your transcript is if there was an error. Dropped classes, however, will show as a "W" on your transcript meaning withdrawal and it won't affect your GPA.
This is a question you will need to ask your counselor, but most likely not.

Even if it shows up on my transcript, will it necessarily factor into my gpa? i dropped it after first semester and took up a higher-level full year math course. since I have the credits for a full one year now, can I get the dropped class to NOT factor into my gpa at all for first semester? I'm okay if it shows up on my transcript though idk
