Should I take AP computer science or AP world history?
I'm an upcoming sophomore and I want to find an easy AP class to boost my GPA. I have zero knowledge of computer science, but many have said it's an easy class for beginners. For history, I've done many honors classes for history before and they were easy, but I'm not sure about AP tho. Can I also have some advice about easier AP classes to take, if there are any? Thanks :)

What major would you like to go into? AP courses do look good on college applications, but you also have to make sure you only take classes that you either enjoy or will help you in your chosen career path. If I were going into biology, I wouldn't take an AP class on marketing.

I'm also a rising sophomore who has signed up to take AP World History: Modern, and from what I've heard, it's not an easy class. Any world history class will cover a wide variety of time periods, locations, and people. Supposedly there's a lot of reading and many tests for AP World too. AP Computer Science is generally regared as being pretty easy. (I quickly looked up how difficult each class is. AP World is apparently 6.1/10 for overall difficulty with 10 being the hardest. AP CompSci is much easier with a 4.3/10.) So if you want to take an easy AP, go for Computer Science. If you love history and are up for more of a challenge, take AP World. But I'd assume since you want to take this to boost your GPA easily, CompSci would be a better choice.

AP World requires you to have knowledge of over hundreds of years of history, from 1200 - Present. Since you want to do a STEM major, taking AP Computer Science would benefit you more.
