Hi!
As we’re approaching the end of our first year of A-Levels, I am looking to utilise my summer vaccinations in the most productive manner possible! So, I would like some recommendations on what extra-curriculars I can do to make my application stand out?!
As of now I’ve done 3 Internships: 1 Community Service Internship for WWF, and as a prospective CS major I’ve done 2 CS-related Internships: one for British Airways and one for TATA. Apart from that I have 30 hours of Community Service Credit Jours, something I plan to work on over the Summer. I also write articles, but for small local publications. I’m planning a research paper too but not sure on that.
I wanna plan ahead, so any, ANY, advice would be really appreciated!
Thank-You
It sounds like you have a ton of great resume and college application material so far! Definitely working on community service and volunteering for different organizations will make you stand out as a hard-working individual, while also showing you love to help others and are collaborative! Maybe check with some local community colleges to jumpstart your education and get some summer college courses done. Participating in a specialized high school program can create stand-out applications that showcase achievement, merit, and previous academic success.
Another idea might be to maybe look into starting a small business with friends that offer a service in your community(if you have time). It sounds like you're already doing great though! :)
