Has anyone gone to an arts high school and had a hard time getting into college?

i want to be a fashion designer. there is a public art high school near me that i want to switch to for my senior year. however my parents are concerned that a diploma from an art high school instead of a conventional high school will make it more difficult for me to get into college. Has anyone had this issue?

Though it could be more difficult to get into a college to study a subject like engineering after graduating from an art high school, this will not be the case when applying to fashion design programs. The school will make you a better applicant for those programs than a conventional high school would, since you could take more art classes and would have more access to artistic extracurriculars. Hope this helps!
