Can your college essay include personal names?
Answered

Hi, I am in the process of writing my personal essay, and a fact I want to mention in it is that my late Grandfather and I had the same first and last name. Am I allowed to include my name? I want to explain what the name means, and why it's so important to me.

I really appreciate any help you all can provide!

That is perfectly alright because essays don't get publicly disclosed outside of the admissions office. If it adds to your personal narrative then go for it.
