Do I still have a chance to get into UW Madison?
Answered

I’m currently a sophomore who has a 2.3 gpa. I started off with a freshman year on a bad foot and failed 2 classes due to mental health and domestic violence in my family. My first semester grades of sophomore year were As and Bs but I have 4 As 2Cs and 1 D this semester. Btw, i took the most challenging classes at my school freshman and sophomore year meaning that most of my classes are honors and AP. If I get all As my junior year while taking 5 AP classes and get a high ACT score, do I still have a chance to get into UW Madison? (Also I’m in-state)

Well, you're only a sophomore meaning you still have plenty of time to raise your GPA and grade throughout the year. If you're worried about your chances, then first and foremost, try to focus on bettering your mental health; you cannot do well if you cannot take care of yourself. Second, try not to stress too much; if you put too much on your shoulders with no chance of relaxation, you cannot expect yourself to do well. Focus on what you can control, such as how many classes you're taking, and if possible, ask for help from a trusted adult. By the end of your senior year, your GPA will improve, increasing your chances of getting into a good college.
