For NC State and UNC Charlotte, what Unweighted GPA range would you need to be in? Online i’m seeing for NC State , 3.8-3.97 but that seems way to high.

Hi, I recommend looking at the Common Data Sets that the schools publish each year. (Which has all the average stats i.e GPA, SAT, ACT, etc. of the admitted first-year students for a certain year.)

For UNC-Charlotte’s 2022-2023 admitted class, I looked and the bulk (30%) had a gpa range of 3.50 to 3.74.

For NC-State 2022-2023, the bulk (57%) had a range from 3.75 to 3.99.

It won’t tell you what range you need to be in, but it might you a good idea of the typical students they admit/where you stand based on your GPA. Here are the links so you can check the fact sheets out:

Hope this helps!
