If our (international students) resumes get judged considering the education systems we had in highschool?
Answered

I am an 11th year student from Turkey, and I was wondering when the administrators evaluate my resume do they consider the opportunities I had in Turkey? For example, we don't have any AP, IB, honors classes or any counterparts. Instead, every student has a set schedule given to them by the school and everyone has to follow it to a t.

Hello! Often times on applications there will be an additional information box where you can share something that you think the college or university needs to know about you and your application, or a spot to elaborate on your courses. This would be a good spot to mention that your school does not offer any "advanced" classes. My guidance counselor also included that information in my letter of recommendation. When you start applying and that's not something you see, talk to an admissions officer from your desired college and inquire further. Rest assured it is easy to sort out.
