Collegevine chancing

Is the Collegevine chancing accurate enough? I used the College Board one and they're giving me different responses for the same university. For instance, the Collegevine one says that a university is a target school while the College Board one says it's a reach.

Hi @highschooler,

This is actually my opinion. I believe that all chancing simulators are differently programmed and set. And also no chancing simulator can actually predict your true chances of being accepted to a university.

Your application describes you as a person, and on the basis of this character, the university decides if they want to have you or someone else who might resonate with the university's philosophy.

Therefore, there is a possibility that you might get into a university where your simulator might shows less chances and you don't get into the one where your chances are high.

Hope this helps.

Regards
