Hi, I'm a rising senior who has some questions about pre-med majors.
I know a lot of people change their minds about being pre-med, but I am as confident as I can be that I want to go into medicine, and as long as I continue to do as well in college as I have in high school, I should get into medical school.
My favorite subject is math. However, I am worried about majoring in it because I don't know that I will have enough time to take pre-med prerequisites while also having room in my schedule to take fun, interesting courses, which is important to me too. I wouldn't be worried about this now except that some colleges I'm looking at make me apply directly to a major. The other issue is that it would probably be harder to keep a high GPA and get research time in math compared to biology. I've been looking into quantitative biology and biophysics programs to help combine them, but not every college offers majors like that.
Thanks
