I'm currently a rising sophomore, and I'm quite good at geogaphy. I think that I'm probably in the running for qualifying for the International Geography Olympiad (iGeo), which is the highest level geography competition that exists in the world, with 54 participating countries as of 2022. It is also one of the 12 major International Science Olympiads, although it's less prestigious than things like the International Math or Chemistry olympiad, and it probably isn't as prestigious as math or chemistry, since Geography is a rather niche subject. If I do qualify, I'll be one of 4 team members on Team USA. There are typically ~60 students yearly that participate in the qualification exam for the iGeo, called the US Geography Championships, in the Varsity division. What level would this competition be (from 4c-1a), and if I got a good score at iGeo (gold or silver medalist), would that make it higher than a level 1A?
Hi! I actually got into iGeo in 2024 and in 2025, so I'm certainly hoping to see you this year in Bangkok!. I'm going into 12th grade this summer so I actually couldn't tell you where I got into but it's definitely a very fun and rewarding experience. Just wondering - what country are you from (or what team will you be participating on)?
Hi, really hoping to meet you there! I’ll also become a senior by next year. I’ll be representing Türkiye, how about you?
hi guys, I'm participating in 2025 IGeO too, hope to see you all in Bangkok. By the way, does anyone know the answer to the question: what level EC is IGeO?

Hi mate, I am also going to be participating in this year's IGEO. It appears to have been a long time since this comment. I was wondering how it turned out? Where did you end up committing to?
