Answered

Hi, I am about to become an incoming sophomore in high school and was wondering on any suggestions on how I could study/prepare for the SAT so that I can get a higher score on the SAT. Thanks

To study/prepare for the SAT the first thing you should do is study hard in your classes. A lot of information from your classes is going to be included in the SAT. If you are willing to pay money, you could prepare at PrepScholar. If you are looking for a free option, Khan Academy offers SAT Prep, including free practice tests, questions, and lessons. If you are going the free way, I would also recommend checking out some SAT Prep books at your local library. Most libraries have a test prep section, which will have ACT and SAT prep books. You can also take the PSAT, sort of like a practice test for the SAT, but set up in a formal SAT environment. If you have any more questions, I would be happy to help.

Hi! As someone who has taken both tests, I personally found the ACT to be a lot easier to study for and would recommend that one since colleges don't particularly care. But since everyone's different and you might prefer the SAT, I would recommend Kaplan. I took their ACT class and it helped me a lot. I do think they also offer SAT classes. Good luck!
