I have a 3.67 GPA and I'll graduate with 4 AP classes and 15 honors and 4 Duel enrollment but I only have 2 extracurriculars which are BETA club and book club. So will it affect my chances of getting into a top school? Is it better to get more extracurriculars?
Even though extracurricular activities are crucial for college applications, they are not the only criterion for admission to a prestigious institution. You can demonstrate your intellectual aptitude and dedication to your studies by maintaining a respectable GPA and enrolling in demanding AP and honors programs, which are important considerations in the admissions process. Top colleges often seek out students who are well-rounded, demonstrate academic excellence, and participate in extracurricular activities, leadership positions, volunteer work, and other activities that reflect their interests and passions. However, keep in mind that different universities place different values on extracurricular activities. By emphasizing other strengths in your application, you can still increase your chances of being accepted into a top school even if you don't have any extracurricular activities.
