How can I turn yoga into an extracurricular?
Answered

Hello!

I've been practicing yoga for 5 years now. I dedicate around 5-7 hours per week on it. Despite my commitment and the time I put into it, I understand that yoga is still regarded as a hobby.

I was trying to think of ways to turn yoga into an extracurricular by trying to make it more impactful (like for example teaching it to kids, but I need a certificate to be a yoga instructor) but I can't come up with anything. Do you have any ideas of how I can turn yoga into an activity that is beyond me, shifting from being a hobby to being an extracurricular worth including in college applications?

Thank you for your time! I really appreciate it :)

So go to the chancing profile tab and select the hobby catergory this are some basic very good ideas.

I’d like to highlight the blogging/podcast part of it. Also depending on your year at school and how the pandemic progresses a yoga club at school is fairly unique and can be interesting.

Hope this helps and please comment if you need clarification.

Maybe you can start a yoga club at your school. It would demonstrate leadership and initiative. Also, you could make videos and start a YouTube channel or have an online presence else where. Just show that you're trying to make an impact and not just doing it recreationally.
