Admissions Advice

If my GPA is low what are other strong factors colleges look at.

I’m a senior in high school, and I’m beginning to start applying to colleges. I have a pretty good ACT score of 27, I’ve taken multiple honors classes, AP classes, and am currently doing Dual Credit classes. But my GPA is a 3.2, and I was curious if there are ways of strengthening my application?

Hello Nick,

It’s not too late to start doing lots of extracurriculars unless you’re applying early. It’s also really helpful to practice writing your essay since that’s one of the most important parts of your application. You should start choosing who to get strong recommendation letters from.
