Before I start, I want to make it clear that I am not a college counselor, but an ordinary college student. Therefore, please take my advice with a grain of salt.

Firstly, it's worth mentioning that many universities, including CSUs, offer online classes.

When it comes to college applications, you can apply to multiple universities. So, if you're considering going to a 4-year college, you should apply to several schools, including safety schools, target schools, and reach schools, to see which one(s) you get into.

Having said that, community college is also a great option. I myself am attending community college despite being accepted into UC Santa Cruz in high school. The benefits of community college include the opportunity to save money, gain more knowledge about college and have more freedom to explore your major options. Additionally, community college students have a better chance of transferring to top-tier universities than high school students. This is especially true for students in California as UCs prefer to accept transfer students from Californian community colleges rather than from other universities. Similarly, CSUs are also easier to get into as a transfer student. For instance, with a 3.6 GPA in CC, I am currently planning to transfer to UC Santa Barbara as an Economics student - something that I couldn't have done in high school.

However, I would highly recommend you seek advice from a college counselor at your school before making any decisions, since I am not an expert on college admissions and I don't know your personal circumstances.
