Ideas for creative extracurricular activities
Answered

Hi so I’m a high school Junior and I just now realized the importance of extracurricular activities because I was so focused on my grades. Is there anything I can do now? Anyone have tips or ideas on some extracurricular activities programs that I can do please let me know.

If you want to do extracurricular activities at school, then I recommend joining a club like Student Council/Government, Yearbook, Art club, etc. Just in case you do join one of these clubs, make sure you're really involved with them so you can write about what you've achieved/contributed to the club.

During your Junior summer you can attend Boy/Girls State which is a Government summer camp help by the American legion, it looks great on your application. Get into contact with your school counselor if your interested.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do now but polish up your essays. ECs are great and all but what a lotta people don't know is that if your essays are great, they can be your saving grace. Additionally if you have good GPA and test scores, you will already be considered. ECs are only icing on the cake. Work on your essays.
