Family Responsibilities
Answered

Hello,

I was wondering if some of my household tasks are worth putting in my college application. My most time consuming/regular task would be cooking. For the past 3 summers I have been in charge of cooking most meals and during the school year I help my mom cook on a weekly basis. Is this worth putting in my activities section or is it irrelevant? Thank you for your help.

Choosing whether to include family responsibilities in your activities section is completely up to you. Do you believe it's had a great enough impact on your life for you to include it and are you able to provide a good explanation as to why you included it? Personally, I would say it's an interesting addition and you should go ahead, but again, it's totally up to you :)

It is worth putting in the activities section as the colleges can see your responsibilities outside of school as well.
