Boosting UT austin chances, not the best gpa

My dream is to go to UT austin, I'm a smart and outgoing student with good grades and great extra carriculars but I Had a rough freshmen year, because of this I get all A's yet my gpa will probably end up being somewhere between 3-3.5 (on a 4 point scale) what else can I do to help maximize my chances?

Hello! I am also applying to UT as well! I have had some friends go to UT and honestly I don't think GPA is a major part of your application. Although it is very important, I would say making sure your essays are very strong and you have some ECs that you are passionate about doing. Also, I would say try to submit your application before the early action deadline! It makes you seem more passionate about going to the school!
