Should I take SAT?Answered
Hello there,
I am an international student and my school does IB and IGCSE, so I was wondering if I should take the SAT or if would it be unnecessary since my school does IB.

You should take the SAT! Even if the school is test-optional, it can boost your chances.
I completely agree. Taking the SAT is always worth a shot, especially if you are an excellent student. I do not know what grade you are in, but I'm a junior, I studied gradually over a year and scored a 1320. I am hoping to reach a much higher score. I am not trying to get into Ivies but the private university I am looking at offers full merit scholarships and a high SAT score will boost my already good chances of receiving that.
If you do decide to try, I recommend 1st taking a practice test. Then find your strengths and weaknesses and study accordingly.
