In or Out of State?

I've been thinking about college recently, and I'm not sure where I should apply. I live in New Jersey and would prefer to stay close because of family. But I did have been contacted by out of state collegesthat are either farther west or farther south, and I'm thinking I should pursue them too. I don't know much about out of state colleges because I mainly focused on one's in my state or not that far away. Can someone help me out so I know what to do when the time comes?

Seeing as you're only in 9th grade, because of the tag you used, I think you should definitely pursue those colleges as well as the in-state colleges. Especially since you've been contacted by those colleges, you might receive a scholarship from one of them. As you grow up your views and values will change, so I think it's a good idea to pursue colleges both in-state and out of state. Hope this helps!
