I just started my junior year, so I've started to brainstorm ideas for my essay next year. I was thinking about writing how my high school adhd diagnosis caused me to learning how to solve problems on my own and then led to my interest in mental health and medicine. I would write about the struggles it brought me, but also how those struggles led to something bigger in my life in a positive way. Would this sound too generic or anything?
Your college essay reflects how you are as a person and your hardships as well, so if you have ADHD and want to use that as a wall you had to climb then yes, yes you can may even make them accept you into their school. Schools look at the goals, hardships, personality, and growth in a person. You have definitely had to climb walls and you should use that in your essay.
