Virtual invites
Answered

Hi, I applied to all the colleges that I am interested in. Already submitted regardless if it was early or reg decision (wanted to get them all done). I am now starting to receive information and invited to virtual tours of campuses or specific program, virtual student chats from these colleges to hear from students that just started or have been attending for sometime. Does this mean anything ? Also, a university asked for another proof of residency? Help please 😞

Receiving invitations for virtual tours, student chats, and other outreach from colleges is a positive sign. It indicates that these colleges are interested in engaging with you as a prospective student and that they are actively trying to provide you with more information about their campus and programs. It's a good opportunity for you to learn more about each college and get a feel for the campus culture and community.

Regarding the request for additional proof of residency, this is a standard procedure for universities to verify your eligibility for in-state tuition or to determine your residency status for other purposes. It's important to provide the requested documentation promptly to ensure that your application process proceeds smoothly. If you have any questions or concerns about what specific documents are needed or how to provide them, I recommend reaching out to the university's admissions or residency office for clarification.

Overall, these interactions and requests for documentation are typical during the application process, and they shouldn't be a cause for concern. Continue to engage with the colleges that interest you, gather the necessary documents, and be proactive in seeking any clarifications or assistance you may need from the respective institutions. Good luck with your college applications!
