I'm in 8th grade and I really want to get into a good university. I'm somewhat confident in an essay due to previous traumatizing experiences making me "interesting". Please don't say anything about enjoying my childhood. Does anyone have any tips for little things I can do to improve my chances?
As an 8th grader I would recommend joining a sport or participating in extracurriculars. I would also recommend trying to learn to study now so that you can set yourself up for success later.
there's not really anything you can do in 8th grade that colleges will look at, just get yourself ready and focus up for high school, i messed up a bit in my sophomore year and messed up my overall gpa a bit but if you just focus on your grades and maybe throw in a few extracurriculars like sports you should be good
Hey! As an 8th grader, nothing you do will necessarily be looked at by colleges (excluding crazy disciplinary problems) but its best if you learn how to study now and prepare for high school. If there is an opportunity to take classes for HS credit at your middle school, take it! Then you can use all your leftover period towards the end of high school to build that GPA! Also, sports are a great idea especially if you can get with an organization that will go on into your high school years!
