Colleges like Rice - high academic rigor/quality AND no living on campus requirement

Rice is obviously a fantastic college with great academics, which is always good for me. I'm interested in neuroscience. Another I think unique thing about Rice is that even though it's private and top quality, it does NOT require students, including freshmen, to live on campus. Any student can live off campus starting first year. Many other schools that do not require living on campus are usually public ones with relatively weaker academics.

Those two qualities combined are what makes this school desirable for me. What are some other colleges that:

1. Have great academics (especially for neuroscience)

and

2. Does not require any student to live on campus?
