How does taking a pass or fail class affect my chances of getting into my top schools?Answered
I am currently a Junior with 5 honors courses and 3 current AP classes. My weighted GPA this year is 4.54 but I am struggling with the workload. I take a virtual highschool course that runs half of the school year but just applied to be a teacher's assistant for the 2nd half of the year. Will being a teacher's assistant truly hurt my transcript?

You asked 2 different questions. 1.) Taking a pass/fail class instead of a grade generally has no impact on college admissions. 2.) Working as a teacher's assistance also has no bearing on college admissions. If anything, it shows that you have a willingness to help your peers. I was a T/A for 3 semesters and I would hope it looked good on my application.
