Getting lower grades senior year
Answered

Hey guys. So i have a quick question.

I managed to keep high grades fresh-soph year and got 1 B my junior year. But, this year (senior year) I'm taking like 3 AP classes and an honors math class. Even though the semester hasn't ended yet, I have came to the conclusion that I will accept a B in math and a B- in AP Gov just for the sake of my well-being and stress levels (on top of that I have college apps and a few time-consuming extracurriculars I have to be on top of). So will this look bad on my transcript? B/c I know that colleges look for an upward trend in grades, but this year is TOUGH and my transcript shows a downward trend... uhm. Thank you in advance!

Sometimes colleges care more about your course rigor than perfect grades. AP and honors show your willingness to take more challenging courses. Often, they would rather see this attitude than straight A's in normal level classes.

Hope this helps :)
