I'm currently a sophmore in high school and I left one of my bigger extracurriculars (swim) and I want to find more opportunities in other areas. My main extracurriculars right now are Science Olympiad/club (which I am VP in); Spanish Club (Historian); I play Viola and do youth chamber, school, districts?, counties, and possibly pit; some random other clubs I am a part of, but school takes up the majority of my time. My main interests are science (specifically Astronomy/physics and Earth Sciences like Ecology and Geology), literally everything music, Spanish, and writing. SO what I want to know is does anyone know any good opportunities that I could do or ways for me to strengthen my extracurriculars? I'm open to all and any things! For career info, I probably plan on becoming a professor or teacher but that's all up in the air too.
You have amazing extracurriculars already, but to focus on the science side of things I suggest that you find an internship or maybe get involved with research. To do this, you can look up summer programs and also contact professors whose work you are interested in.
You have strong extracurriculars. Since your main focus is science something you could do is start your own club and fundraise money to donate to non-profits that help further education in lower-income countries. Another thing if get an internship or sign up as a teachers assistant for your school. Just remember, if you have one strong extracurricular (like you win awards, win competitions etc etc) that is still good.
You seem like a very busy but smart individual, if your school has dual enrollment I would suggest to try that out, or try a new sport, since your only in 10th grade try a sport and spend your last years in high school practicing it. Or any extracurricular your school offers, and especially work with that viola, I made all-state and I am a violin player, and colleges love someone who can do performing arts at a high level of skill.
