A lot of top schools don't like it when students apply test-optional. A student applying with an average score for that school will have a much better advantage than someone not sending in a score at all. You should definitely see if it's possible for you to take and submit a test.

Not really because most kids don't sumbit test scores you really make up for it with grades course rigor and your essay
