Does virtual school reduce chancing?
Answered

My friend is wanting to apply to Flagler but is concerned because she does FLVS and her country virtual, and is unable to do extra credit or participate in many clubs. She also has limited choices in AP and honors selection. Will this impact her chancing? Or will the admissions officer take into account her options?

It's tough to say for sure, but virtual school might make it slightly harder to get into Flagler. This is because Flagler might prefer students who have more opportunities for extracurricular activities and AP/honors classes. However, Flagler will also consider your friend's individual circumstances and the options available to her. So, your friend should highlight her strengths and explain why virtual school was the best option for her. She can also focus on her other achievements, like any online clubs or activities she participated in. Ultimately, it's up to Flagler to decide, but her chances are still very good!
